I might have a few pairs of tickets to give away at the Redbull 45s show. And just as I started posting this up, Twitter goes down. So now I don’t know how I’m going to get the word out, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out somehow!

Sorry, I got distracted last night due to the Twitter/ Iranian Cyber Army drama going on. It threw a monkey wrench on my plans last night.

Anyways, so the Redbull event tonight, going to be amazing. I know a lot of people are thinking this is going to be a big hippity hop, keep it real kind of event, where everyone comes out and stares at djs playing the hardest, most underground hiphop. This is not the case.

This is going to be along the lines of a history lesson of some of the funkiest, nicest, most insane breaks ever. Plus some of the smoothest, most exciting soul you’ve never heard, mixed in with some stuff you might have. Now, I can’t speak on what Cee Plus will play, but I’m sure that Sun and The ARE will do it proper. Cut Chemist is a true digger, so I know he’s going to pull out some of the craziest stuff ever. If you have ever caught any of Cut Chemists’ shows or DVDs like Brain Freeze, Product Placement, or Live At The Hollywood Bowl, you should know to expect great music.

I’m going to be seriously disappointed if my city comes out to this event and just plays the wall. People will have no choice but to get down and boogie tonight folks.

This is what I’m going to do, and pay attention, cause I’ll only say this once. This event will probably sell out, or at least that’s the buzz. SO, I happen to have a handful of tickets to give away. You want a pair? Then pay attention to our Twitter updates, cause I’ll tell you exactly how to get these tickets. I might just tell you where I’ll be tonight around 8pm with the tickets, and all you’ll have to do is walk up and ask for a pair. Maybe. Who knows?

OH MAN- I JUST GOT THE BEST NEWS EVER.

Across the country there are maybe a handful of djs named JOHN DOE (no joke*), but only one of them is worth ever talking about. John Doe from Las Vegas is THE funkiest dude ever, and his monthly event in Vegas is the ONLY event I ALWAYS tell people about. I’ve been lucky enough to get a copy of his mix cd, and two from the live shows, and I cherish them more than any other cds in my huge collection. These things are sick! This just makes it official, YOU HAVE TO BE HERE TONIGHT.
